TEACH IN SPAIN IN CASTILLA AND LEÓN


This program is being developed in collaboration with the NGO CIEE (Council on International Educational Exchange), a non-governmental non-profit organization that, among other things, offers auxiliary teachers' places with the aim of promoting the American language and culture and to establish links between different cultures, facilitating this type of experiences to more than 30,000 people each year.



Castilla y León is an attractive destination for teachers, who want to get in touch with the Spanish language and culture in a linguistic, cultural and historical environment as few other regions offer.

The General Directorate of Innovation and Educational Equity of the Council of Education of the Government of Castilla y León coordinates this program as part of the actions aimed at the internationalization of the educational centers of this Autonomous Community.

First of all i would like to say you welcome to this great experience. During the following three months all of you will have the oportunity to live with a spanish family and to be an english teacher,helping spanish students increasing their motivation to learn an English language. You will be a support to the spanish teachers giving them new ideas, knowledge about your culture and a different way of live. You have to keep in mind that you will be a reference for all the spanish students. During three months you can help students to improve their oral, listening, writing and comprehensive skills. As a volunteer teachers will aime to disseminate the American language and culture or other english-speaking countries by supporting teachers of both English and other subjects taught in English within the Bilingual Section of the Center.
